WCG 2009 FIFA Australian Final
Do you want to represent Australia in FIFA?

On Saturday October 10, Beyond Internet Cafe, in Sydney, will play host to the Australian WCG 2009 FIFA 2009 Preliminary Qualifiers, where anyone with the talent can take a crack at winning a spot in the Australian World Cyber Games FIFA 2009 Finals bracket which will take place on Sunday. What do you have to do to enter? It's easy!

When you arrive at the netcafe (Registrations Open at 10am Saturday), Give your name and details to the people at the registration desk and get ready to take your shot representing Australia.

We have 16 qualifying spots on offer with prizes for 2nd and 3rd so you'll have to make sure you know your stuff! Win and you could be on your way to Chengdu, China to battle it out with the world's finest!

When: Qualifying rounds Saturday 10th October, Finals Sunday 11th October.

Where: Beyond Internet and Gaming, 505 Lower Ground Floor, George St. Sydney

Format:

To qualify for the finals on Sunday, Will play a round robin with all other registered players (or they will be split into even sized groups). The top 8 players randomly placed into a double elimination bracket for the Finals on Sunday.

First Prize – A ticket to China to represent Australia at the 2009 World Cyber Games World Finals held in Chengdu

Second Prize – A Samsung Omnia HD Mobile Phone

Third Prize – A Samsung LED Monitor

As you can see, there are some excellent prizes on the line. I look forward to seeing all the hopefuls on Saturday, at the Beyond Internet Cafe.

ESRB Rating: Everyone (Age +6)

 Anyone born after Nov.11th 2003 will not be allowed entry to the GF

 General

 Competition Method: 1 vs. 1

 Game Mode : International and Club

 The qualifying procedure may vary from country to country based on the number of players trying to qualify for the Grand Final.

 Host/client will be announced before the match or decided by coin toss.

 Player changes and strategy changes are limited to 3 times throughout the game. (The changes before the start of first and second half are not included in this count.)

 At the end of each match, players must maintain the final screens and receive the score confirmation from a referee.

 WCG may install third party programs and/or join as an observer for tournament operations purposes, such as verifying match results or gathering match data

 The “FIFA 09” tournament shall consist of two parts: 1) a first phase: league system (1 match against each group opponent); 2) a second phase: knock-out system (best 2 out of 3 matches).

 Game setting precautions

 The officially licensed FIFA Soccer 09 product must be used with all its official updates.

 The abilities of teams and players cannot be modified arbitrarily.

 Graphics and other settings may only be setup through the menu. (Configuration file cannot be used). The allowed resolution is 1024x768x32.

 Players on both sides must select the options before they begin the game. The match result will be accepted even if the players, during or after the match, find out each others' settings were different from the official settings.

 Players may modify the devdata.dat file (pad incompatibility cases only).
